On the Saturday before Halloween, Nick and I and Noah and Lorisa dressed up and went out for some grown-up fun! Here are Nick and I (a pirate and a gladiator)

It was fun to go out, because that kind of thing doesn't happen often when you have little ones! We went to a party with lots of decorations, which Nick really loved. He said it was just what he dreamed a Halloween party should be :) Then, on Halloween, we took the kids Trick-or-Treating!!
The boys did great going up to doors and getting candy. Patrick took the lead, since he remembers trick-or-treating from last year, and he had incredible stamina! ;) Chase was really preoccupied by all the decorations and liked to compliment people on their lights and skeletons. He also tried to take the lid off of every pumpkin.
Alisa, who was dressed in Auntie Nes's penguin costume that makes the rounds among each of the kids, made out like a bandit!
We ran into our neighbors, who have kids that the boys are friends with. They had fun seeing Strawberry Shortcake, a bee, and a dinosaur :)
As with many of our family activities, there comes a time where they lose a bit of steam and start to get tired out :) Keep going kids, we're almost there!!
After refueling with a couple pieces of candy, we all came outside and posed for what is quite possibly the only picture we have of our family all together from this entire year! Surely, that can't be right...I think the boys look so cute! They each picked out their Halloween costumes this year with Daddy, and they surprised me one day after work with their choices. I can't wait to see what they choose next year :) We really enjoy getting in the Halloween spirit, and I know it's something we'll continue to do with the boys every year.
